Experiences
Since I am only fifteen years old and a freshman at high school I have very limited experience in the field of child care. The main source of my experience comes from babysitting. Through babysitting challenges always occur. One of the most challenging experiences I had to go through was when one child I was babysitting had an allergic reaction due to an unknown change in a restaurant's recipe. At first I was nervous when I noticed the rash starting around the child's mouth. I had recognized this rash to be a common side affect that occurs when said child has an allergic reaction. Once I realized what was happening I immediately contacted the child's mom telling her what I believed was happening. She then informed me where to find the medicine to stop the rash. I then had to administer the medicine to the child. Within half an hour the rash began to fade and his symptoms became fewer until they were gone completely. Luckily the reaction was mild and was easily resolved.
