About Me.
My name is Sierah Miles. I am fifteen years old and a freshman at Milford High School. Ever since being a young child myself I have had an interest in caring for others, particularly younger children. Today where some kids would want to spend their weekends at the mall or with friend I would prefer to spend that time babysitting or working with young children. My passion for working with children isn't for money, but from the satisfaction you receive every time a child looks at you with pure happiness.
Around five years ago my cousin Caleb was born. Caleb was born with several disabilities, some of which include autism, epilepsy, and microcephaly. It was after spending numerous hours with Caleb that I learned that I love working with children with special needs. There is something special about working with children with disabilities. The thrill of finding new ways to do things so that they can understand and making a special bond with them and you know then that you have made an impact on their lives no matter how big or small, that makes my passion for working with special needs children so strong.
