Career Summary : Special Education Teacher - Autism Spectrum
Description of Career: A special education on the Autism spectrum would work with children with Autism daily while in a school setting, whether that be in kindergarten or high school, and creates an individualized plan for the student. In most cases, a teacher working with a child would focus his/her attention on teaching the child life skills and basic level communication.
Career Requirements: To become a special education teacher one must obtain a bachelor's degree , certification and at least two to four years of experience in the field.
